But once I discovered Kartra\u2019s survey feature, I found a much easier way to gather this information before our sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how I set up my first survey\u2014and why it has been a game-changer for my coaching process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-my-first-survey\">Creating my first Survey:<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>I started by navigating to the \u201cContacts\u201d section on the Kartra dashboard and selecting \u201cSurveys.\u201d From there, I clicked on the \u201c+ New Survey\u201d button and gave my survey a name\u2014\u201cSleep Habits Assessment.\u201d Since my goal was to collect key details about a child\u2019s sleep patterns before a consultation, I kept things simple with a traditional survey format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXfMct3Denj4_tI-wnNIZSX4P92_hUxYj56aKi4GKPmSj21-dtJDYKrJqJ_LKCPpfLG2leoW0f5LVLKz5v2EjOqYd3_U5n5GCgKohwVGYNE6FQz5TR8uPf0DPPDBeyQzkfxSIa2M_g?key=KYDCpWq54hTVVOpntzN0_jPH\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-customizing-my-questions-nbsp\">Customizing My Questions:&nbsp;<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Kartra lets you choose from multiple question types, so I mixed in multiple-choice, rating scales, and open-ended responses to get the best insights. Some of the key questions I included were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How old is your child?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many naps does your child take per day?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a scale from 1 to 10, how difficult is bedtime?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are your biggest sleep challenges?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I made sure to keep the survey concise\u2014just enough to gather the most relevant details without overwhelming parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXebXQfyffObxbYX_XIBBnX-R2rRDnd1FzTW9i0gGM9I_4xZVfBz9w628xw8TzHvMvyY5tG2E1XVHQOtv_Kkqq1h6ffxiWCNZ4j7wbeX9aAyelJ6z1YPktoW5DhEradQsCDJ-y6d0Q?key=KYDCpWq54hTVVOpntzN0_jPH\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-getting-responses-to-my-survey\">Getting responses to my Survey:<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Once my survey was ready, I embedded it on my booking confirmation page. That way, after a parent scheduled a consultation, they were prompted to fill out the survey right away. I also included the survey link in my confirmation email, giving them another chance to complete it before our session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-survey-data-to-improve-coaching-nbsp\">Using survey data to improve coaching:&nbsp;<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Having this information in advance has completely changed how I approach consultations. Now, instead of spending the first part of a call gathering basic details, I can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Skip repetitive questions and dive straight into personalized advice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spot patterns in sleep struggles to offer better solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep track of client data for follow-ups and progress tracking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Before using surveys, I was wasting valuable time on calls just collecting background info.
